POSITION TITLE:  Food Service Cashier (7:30am - 9am and 10:45am - 1pm) 3.75 hours          

           

REPORTS TO:   Director of Food & Nutrition Services and Food Service Managers 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:  

 

  1. Skilled in operating a computer.
  2. Perform basic math and data entry.
  3. Capable of working in a sitting position for prolonged periods of time.
  4. High School education or equivalent.
  5. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:  

 

  1. Maintains an accurate daily count record of all meals served.
  2. Prepares daily and monthly reports for the Food Service Department.
  3. Handles all food service money: counting, balancing, receipting, making out deposit slips, etc.
  4. Performs all duties in an accurate, effective and proficient manner.
  5. Works with students and faculty in a polite and sociable manner.
  6. Issues all meal tickets to students and keeps track of free, reduced and paid status of students.
  7. Maintains accurate records of those students and reconciles daily.
  8. Maintains an in-line count.
  9. Supervises students as lunches are served.
  10. Maintains confidentiality in all areas of work.
  11. Performs other such duties as assigned.
